Selling And Decluttering Your Home
Many sellers have been waiting since 2008-09 to sell their homes. Home values have finally begun to rise. People are anxious to move. They may be downsizing, upgrading or simply just want to start in a new area or simply new home. What happens when people are in a hurry, what happens? They make mistakes. Some of them are simple and easy to fix. Lets get started. What are some of these mistakes?
One of the common mistakes is entering the market blindly and before they are truly ready for the sale of their home. People need to do research before entering the market. A seller who understands the market is important. You are a part of a team with your Realtor when selling your home.
Your home needs to be ready to put on the market. Is it decluttered? This is one of the biggest delays putting your house on the market. Do you need to simply clean up and straighten out a few closets. Do you need to rent a storage unit or a "POD?" A messy sloppy house will not sell. If you have a sloppy house you are tying your Realtors hands in many ways. Photographs can not be taken by your Realtor or by the professional photographer hired by your Realtor. Additionally an untidy house is a house that sits on the market and does NOT sell. Potential buyers will view a sloppy house as a house that is not taken care of. Right or wrong, they feel that if it is sloppy it is not maintained well. Perception is everything when selling your home. Declutter and keep it clean. Your home is going to sell if it is clean. Pretend you have guests coming over every day. This can be trying on your nerves. But if you truly want to sell your home, it is imperative that it is decluttered and it says that way until you sell i
